Baking Classes: Shuna's Teaching Again
Once Again Back It's The Incredible.*
I'm here to say I have some classes in the making. This time around, with a schedule, the ability to sign up in advance, the possibility of getting in on a class even if one date in particular doesn't work for you, (yes, repeat classes), and a deal for those who may really want to take the class but can't afford it.
Here are some of the class subjects on the horizon:
PIE DOUGH
CUSTARDS
MERINGUE
CARAMEL
CHOCOLATE ~ baking, not tempering
FALL/WINTER FRUITS
The classes will take place in the East Bay, most probably on Sundays. But more information will be on the way, especially now that I've filled you in on what's to come.
My last baking class was Pate a Choux. Review and student comments can be found here. Maybe you missed it but are interested? Or have something else you must learn? Let me know, as many of the subjects listed above came from direct feedback.

Want to know more about me? Here's a start:
I am a seasonal produce-inspired pastry chef with over 14
years experience cooking and baking professionally. I've worked in
such notable kitchens as Gramercy Tavern in Manhattan, The French
Laundry and Bouchon in Yountville, Citizen Cake and Aziza in San
Francisco.
My desserts have garnered attention in The SF Chronicle, Gourmet, San Francisco Magazine and I was a featured Chef in 7X7.
Six years ago I gave my first public cooking demonstration through the Shop With The Chef program at the SF Ferry Plaza Farmer's Market,
and soon taught a myriad of unique baking classes with Sur La Table. I began teaching private independent classes a few years ago, first by teaching friends and friends of friends. My classes are chock full of detailed information and stories about the many kitchens I've
worked in.
I think you'll find that, even if you have never taken a cooking class before, you will enjoy mine. But more importantly, you will no longer be afraid to bake at home!
Come One, Come All, Come Hungry To Learn.

I may sign up for a chocolate one if I can cram it into my schedule. I just burnt it a few days ago, and yesterday my chocolate ganache separated in the mixer. I'm about ready to pull my hair out as it seems to be the one ingredient I consistently and assuredly f**k up.
Might drag Rob along as he is still talking about that dessert you made for the potluck.

Looking forward to ending my long running stint as a non-baker. You get mad props for the Public Enemy quote too.

I have been looking forward to some Shuna baking classes since the last one way back in June. I am glad you are starting them up again. As someone on a student budget, I would also be very interested in this "deal" you are cooking up.
