June Taylor Opens The Still Room To The Public
How do you shop for people who've eaten everything?
For those with highly sophisticated palates?
For those who live no where near local citrus?
For those who can't remember the summery taste of apricots?
How do you shop locally? Seasonally? From the people whose hands made that which you'll put in your mouth?
Spread on toast. Eat with game. Hide in between cake layers.
Covet as your private treat. Or buy a jar for everyone on your office. One for every night of Channukah. Heavily weighing down a stocking on the fireplace. In the pile of gift you're allowed to open before Boxing Day.
Will you be in the Bay Area this winter? The man behind the curtain gives you a sneak peek into June Taylor's holiday retail hours... and a head's up about her latest classes-- at KQED.

Yesterday I made a large 'June Taylor marmalade' Bakewell tart to take to my friend's birthday potluck brunch, using non-blanched almond meal for a change too. It didn't look quite so pretty as the more traditional style, but the marmalade worked wonders in the Bakewell.
Delicious.
