winter.
nip in the air. scarves. sweaters. long johns. the heat on. wearing chocolate brown. snuggling. bed early.
dark earlier. good talks. holiday preparations. remembering. body memory. melancholy. bittersweet. missing people so much it hurts. soup. delicious meals, and the comfort of them. tears. transitions. new lives. caramel. trees on fire with last color. the farm without isaac. persimmons. quiet nights. hard talks with friends, family. epiphanies. clementines puckery awake! hot cocoa. days off. kitchen heat. salt. death. goosebumps. down comforter. dacquoise. orchids abloom. falling in love. the sea. the bay. silouettes of birds at the water's edge at sunset. garbage turned into art. gift giving. babies. birthdays competing with holidaze. florida beckoning. grandmother's frailty. bring the dogs in. coyotes roaming. long walks. simple meals. writing in the silence.
winter.

Ditto. You always make me wish I lived there again.

I love this post. This is it exactly...winter. I must add...cats who keep shedding despite the weather conditions and friends in Puff Daddy coats - coats that make hugging a down affair.

What a great post. Such a wonderful mix of emotions and memories that it conjures up! It has been such a mixed year for losing people, gaining experiences and seeing things in a different light. I wish you happiness and strength in 2007 :)
