Joe Fish has been here.
You might know him from the comments section.
Or had a spotting at the SF Ferry Plaza Farmers' Market yesterday. He was the tall one with the deep booming New York voice which actually comes from Philly.
Or at the Clothilde reading at Cody's Thursday night? How about O Chame beforehand? Or Chez Panisse downstairs afterwords?
Maybe the Della Fattoria cafe in Petaluma on Friday?
Maybe you saw him happily skipping through Berkeley Bowl?
I let him buy all sorts of nifty ingredients and then I was so kind as to let him cook in my kitchen.
Wasn't that nice of me?
Here's our meal.
Marinated Japanese cucumbers with radishes
Stew of morels and English peas over artichoke bottoms
Okra with corn and tomatoes
Rack of lamb with agrodolce jus, herb butter and wild asparagus
Plumcots
{Guess what I made? ha ha.}
It was over-the-top rich and delicious.
We got around. Or we didn't leave the house. Depending on how you look at it. He was my guest and my hostage, my kidnapped and a new friend.
You should come and visit me... you never know what I'll let you do
in my kitchen....

He's the best visitor I've had in years. What a mensch.
Should we get big "F" letter sweaters, Shuna?

Hmm, I was at the Della Fattoria cafe on Friday for lunch, but did not see him... perhaps I'll have to look around the farmer's market...
