Where will all the dishes go? And how to display them prominently? Will they compete with the preserves collection?
To quote a friend: "I don't know which is more nerve wracking: unintentionally baking for your friend who you didn't know was a professional pastry chef, or washing their antique dishes."
This post is dedicated to new homes, new travels, new babies on the way, new beginnings and new possibilities.
Happy March.
Wow, now that's a conundrum.
I think I'd rather bake, even though I don't bake. Cause if I ruined it, all we'd do is toss it.
Old dishes are cool, huh?

Oh, display them. And leave them in haphazard form -- they're more beautiful in imperfection. I love this wonderful, mismatched collection.
(And, I didn't have a chance to post on the oven series when it was fresh -- see what I miss when I go to New York? -- but I have the same blue Le Creuset. I feel like we're dutch oven sisters.)
Welcome to your new home, Shuna.

And cheers to all of them ... and you!
All the best, Shuna!

Fortunately, there were no broken dishes at the end of the day...even more fortunately- Fern is still alive in a peaceful and sunny new home and once we're in the new house- gumbo and pecan pie are first up on the menu for the new kitchen and dear friends...

My kitchen still looks like that, and we moved a year ago!
