Well there's the Fatted Calf Newsletter which Guy from Meathenge posts and covers, and so I am going to test out a little Poulet visual newsletter.
We make delicious food here. From scratch chile rillenos, roasted chickens all the day long, fresh-squeezed lemonade, bright & seasonal salads,
and lately--
some fantastic, simple, pretty desserts!
{if I do say so myself}
Friday May 5:
chocolate, almond & strawberry trifle, toasted coconut & caramel cream puffs, rhubarb & cornmeal cake, buttery citrus shortbread and our special cookie of the week ~ snickerdoodles.
Stop by, say hello, have a taste.
Oh, rhubarb! That cornmeal cake looks so delish. I'm longing to start baking with rhubarb, but there's none local here yet, and the flown-in stuff is shriveled and $6 a pound. Ah, patience--that virture I do not possess. Hope all you lucky SFers and Berkeleyites are trotting over to Poulet pronto!

Shuna, just read your article on rhubarb in ESF, which I picked up at the Ferry Building yesterday. I really enjoyed it!
I got over my rhubarb fear as a child (due to school lunches) only a year or two ago, and I can't wait to buy a bunch!
