« Eggbeater at the Farmer's Market Today! | Main | Sebastopol. Autumn's Quiet Arrival. »

15 September 2006

Thanks for the shibby and personable post. Reminds me I need to go to the Farmer's Market and visit my local baker! *squeal of joy*

I knew (without reading the title) from the second I saw the first photograph that you were talking about Annabelle. Somehow, nobody's produce looks as regal and whimsical all at the same time as Anabelle's. I love the iceberg as well, but for something a bit sophisticated and off the beaten path, try her puntarella...fantastic!

What a feeling tribute. I know so well the place she comes from and it seems amazing that she chooses to present her produce so honestly and in such a soulful way. Love the herbs with their Italian precedents, and I must search them out, whether at those markets or in her land. (I have ways,) Thanks for writing of something so elemental when we're surrounded by so much ephemeral hype.
