A four hour drive feels like nothing two weeks after a 10 hour drive.
Seattle smells good.
And it's amazing to see the city appear, at night, after driving through soft deep green triangular trees, soft with the light of a late setting sun.
(It gets dark here between 9:30 and 10 pm!)
And you know what?
Just minutes after being on Interstate 5 in Portland I was on a bridge passing a sign saying Washington State!
Ahhh geography, not my strongest subject. But I do like it!
Make me wallpaper of maps. Nautical or otherwise.
At least I have a strong sense of direction.
Off to Tea's favorite farmers' market tomorrow.
Wait, today is tomorrow.
When I moved up here (other side of the state, but still WA), the whole "hey! I get an extra two hours of light each day" thing wigged me out for a day or so, but it's pretty cool. Except I think it works the other way during the winter. :(
I'm off to a farmer's market too, in Idaho. I'm thinking it's not going to be like the Bay Area. I'll soldier on and continue to live vicariously through you!
