If you've ever wondered where my corneyness, wackyness or part of my quirkiness comes from, look no further to my father, and stepmother. The power of the Internet allows me to introduce you to people in my family you would otherwise have to bump into on the street or sit next to them unknowingly on the subway. Unless you are a musical or theatrical person and you've heard either or both of them before, on your own, or read a lot about music and musicians, let me guide you to a YouTube video of my father at a whistling competition.
He makes me very proud, in that blushing, shaking-head sorta way here.
Yeah for silliness!
Wow!! Shuna, Ellen and I are tickled to the bone by your featuring us on eggbeater!! And suddenly the whistling video got many, many new viewings on YouTube--an eggbeater endorsement carries weight!! Hillary and Barack are going to be coming to you begging for support!

This is so awesome! Hope you're having a very happy new year so far. I'm back in SF for a few months (til June) and would love to get together for a chat sometime--drop me a line!

This is so great...I'm totally into the Minute with Michael vids. I wish my dad was that playful. I wish ALL adults would challenge themselves to be this playful.

Wow. I'm in total awe. This brings back weird memories for some strange reason. Like stomping yer feet on a wooden floor to banjo music... I'm serious. Great show.

Your dad is a kook!
I loved the contrast of the jazz whistling with flags in the background.
Funny! Folksy!
and you have his smile.
