Cold here.
Refreshing.
Haven't lived in a real winter in over 1o years.
Glad I brought cashmere.
Feels surreal.
what have you done?!
Ate carrot soup and roasted chestnuts at Portuguese diner in Stockwell. And flat squarish beans which popped out of their yellow casing. Reminded me of favas but harder, starchier.
I heart roasted chestnuts.
Sat for hours in London Review of Books Cakeshop for Black Orchid tea and too-sweet blueberry cake. I could make this my new favourite place.
Easily.
Day one complete. Looking forward to a long lie in tomorrow. Borough Market if I'm up for it...
I'm so excited to hear about more eggbeater adventures in London. I haven't been in so long...

Glad you made it over there safe, keep warm! Its a fun time of year if you can get over the damp and the darkness. The christmas lights in town are very festive. Cant wait to hear about your new enterprise.

London in Autumn. Rain. Grey skies. Any root vegetable made into hot soup. Heaven.

sounds lovely shuna. i also love roasted chestnuts and there's something about overly sweet british desserts and the plates they are served on... lovely.

Looking at that beautiful , simple photo of a London bench makes it clear - you should be doing a book like no other or a film.....
