in a few hours a train station will swallow me like a whale and spit me out in paris.
i'll walk out dazed
and seek butter.
then it will all be fine.
besides what i love, where should i go?
what should i see, who should i do?
all ideas welcome.

go to a food market, go to an antique market, just go
walk around
go to the river and stroll
enjoy it
eat food for me
I don't have any particular recommendations. I loved every minute of being there, and thought everything I did was special and a treat.
I imagine you will have the same joy.

Paris is a great city to wonder around on foot discovering little hidden gems.
(Good blog btw - been following it for a few weeks)
hello Tim, thank you for your good words on eggbeater. I took a look around your blog as well. Amazing. Paris is hidden gems, yes, even if I am doing nothing of 'note.' I especially like the surfaces of walls here. I look forward to my favourites and new rabbit holes to drop into. I look forward to exchanging more words with you in the future. ~ Shuna

For the best bread in Paris, you must visit Du Pain et des Idées on the corner of rue de Marseille and rue Yves Toudic in the 10th arrondissement, as well as one (or both!) of Véronique Mauclerc's shops. I have also recently become enamored with Des Gâteaux et du Pain, on Blvd. Pasteur, a few blocks from the Pierre Hermé in the 15th.
Thank you so much for your London tips - I had a great time and ate very well! I'd like to try to return the favor. :)

Lucky you! There are so many things to see and do in Paris. Apart from sightseeing go for a walk in the Bois de Boulogne and on a boat trip on la Seine if the weather says so. Don't forget to go shopping or window shopping at Faubourg Saint Honoré and Avenue Montaigne. Have a café crème and a piece of tranche parisienne at one of the lovely bistrots in the Champs Elysees. Have a great time!

Spend a Sunday afternoon wandering the little city that is Pere Lachaise Cemetary. This is one of my favourites places in Paris. You can get lost in it,but in a good way. Its quiet and mysterious and full of beauty that only an old cemetary in a place like Paris can be. It begs to be lingered in. Highly reccommend it.
